Our Partners in Mission
Trinity Wall Street
For several years, the the diocese has Partnered with Trinity, Wall Street on a number of development projects to support the Diocese in its mission. Amongst the largest project has been the real estate project of Trano Kambana, that has been significant in supporting the diocese, especially during and after the 2019 Pandemic.
The Diocese of Canterbury
For over 40 years, the Diocese of Canterbury and Dioceses in Madagascar, including the Diocese of Antananarivo, have maintained an ongoing partnership link. This partnership involved continuous prayers for one another, support in different forms of the work of the church in the Diocese of Antananarivo, direct Parish links and mutual diocesan visits.
USPG
Missionaries first arrived in Madagascar in 1864 sent by the SPG (currently USPG). The USPG has supported the churches in Madagascar, including the Diocese of Antananarivo with development projects, providing training, relief and disaster support.
The Mother’s Union
The Mothers’ Union continues to support local organisations through various training and sharing of experiences for leaders within communities around Madagascar in the face of climate change, cases of violence and abuse etc.
Anglican Aid
Since the establishment of the theological training center in the diocese in 2017, Anglican Aid has supported the centre by providing IT equipment and renovations of the centre.
Centre for Global Mission
The Centre for Global Mission has partnered with the Diocese of Antananarivo to provide theological training material which will assist with their training and teaching programmes. They are currently using the Moore College PTC material in English, French and Malagasy. There are ongoing translations of the PTC material into French and Malagasy. CGM is looking for funds to continue the Malagasy translation work.
Anglican Missions Service Committee (AMSC)
The AMSC in Canada has been supporting the social projects of the Akany Famonjena Orphanage and the Akany Tafita Community Center through its missionary Mary Sherwood.
